Executive HEADTEACHER'S WELCOME
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to King Charles I, School part of Four Stones Gateway Trust. As a parent of three boys, I am very aware of the hopes and aspirations that parents/carers and students place in education. We all want our children to be happy, confident, and secure so that they can enjoy their formative years. We want them to be supported and challenged in equal measure so that they can go on to on to realise their dreams.
Moving to secondary school is a huge next step and one that should never be underestimated. Having experienced this first hand as a parent, I am all too aware of the anxieties that this transition can bring for both students and families. As a split site school, we are fortunate to be able to offer an enhanced and slower transition into secondary education. Our Borrington Site provides a stepping stone into secondary education in a smaller setting that continues the family feel of primary whilst slowly preparing students for their next step into Year 9.
At King Charles I School, we are ambitious and welcoming; we both support and challenge every child to leave our school with strong academic qualifications, a well-developed character, and clear values that will carry them through to long term success.
